Jeremiah 22:5

5 But if you will not hear these words, I swear by Myself, says the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation.

The Lord Jesus spoke of this in Matthew 23:37-38.

Jeremiah 23:5-6

5 Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgement and justice in the earth.
6 In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is His name whereby He shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

The fulfillment of this prophecy is documented in Revelation 5:5-8

Jermiah 30:9

9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them.

This prophecy deals with the ultimate destiny of the Lord Jesus: rulership of the world. {see Revelation 11:15}

Jeremiah 31:15

15 Thus says the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rachel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they are not.

This prophecy was fulfilled when Herod ordered the killing of all children 2 years old and under in and around Bethlehem. {see Matthew 2:16-18}

Jeremiah 31:31-34

31 Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which My covenant they broke, although I was a husband to them, says the LORD:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days says the LORD, I will put My law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be My people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD: For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Hebrews 8:7-13 explains the fulfillment of this prophecy and why a new covenant was necessary.

Jeremiah 33:15-16

15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up to David; and He shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.

In Luke 1:31-33 this prophecy’s fulfillment is confirmed by the angel’s words to Mary.
