Psalm 45:6-7

6 Your throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the scepter of Your kingdom is a right scepter. 7 You love righteousness, and hate wickedness: therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows.

In Hebrews 1:8-9 this scripture is quoted in reference to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalm 49:15

15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for He shall receive me. Selah.

In Mark 16:6, an angel informs the women that came to sepulcher as follows, “Be not frightened: You seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: He is rised; He is not here: behold the place where they laid Him.”

Psalm 62:12

12 Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy: for You render to every man according to his work.

In Matthew 16:27, the Lord Jesus says, “For the Son of man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels: and then He shall reward every man according to his works.”

Psalm 68:18

18 You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive: You have received gifts of men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.

This scripture is quoted in Ephesians 4:8-10. It is concerning the death and victorious resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalm 69:4

4 They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head: they that would destroy me, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.

The Lord Jesus made reference to this scripture in John 15:25, hence the persecution that He endured, as well as those who would follow Him.

Psalm 69:7-8

7 Because for Your sake I have borne reproach; shame has covered my face. 8 I am become a stranger to my brethren, and an alien to my mother’s children.

In John 7:3-7 it is seen that Jesus’ brothers did not believe in Him.

Psalm 69:9

9 For the zeal of Your house has eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached You are fallen upon me.

The Lord Jesus demonstrated this when He drove out the changers of money from the temple. {see John 2:14-17 and Romans 15:3}

Psalm 69:20

20 Reproach has broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.

In John 19:6 this scripture was played out when they called for the Lord Jesus to be crucified. {see also Luke 23:21-23}

Psalm 69:21

21 They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

The Lord Jesus was given vinegar to drink just before He died on the cross. {see John 19:28-29}

Psalm 72:4-5

4 He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and break in pieces the oppressor.
5 They shall fear You as long as the sun and the moon endure, throughout all generations.

This was fulfilled in the beattitudes given by the Lord Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew chapter 5. {see also Luke 1:51-53}

Psalm 72:9-10

9 They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.
10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

This prophecy was fulfilled in Matthew 2:9-11, when the Lord Jesus was born.

Psalm 72:17

17 His name shall endure for ever: His name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in Him: all nations shall call Him blessed.

In Revelation 21:22-26 we see that the Lord Jesus truly becomes the Light of the world, and there will be no more night. All nations will be blessed by the Lord Jesus.
