The Lord Jesus Christ is confimred as the only begotten Son of God.

Psalm 2:9

9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

This prophecy is yet to be fulfilled, but it is also documented in Revelation 2:26-27.

Psalm 8:2

2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings have You ordained strength because of Your enemies, that You might still the enemy and the avenger.

This verse contains the response that the Lord Jesus gave to the chief priests and scribes who were displeased when the children shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David;” {see Matthew 21:15-16}

Psalm 8:6

6 You made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet:

The fulfillment of this is documented in Ephesians 1:19-23. The Lord Jesus Christ is now exalted and all things have been placed under His feet.

Psalm 16:10

10 For You wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

Acts 2:31 confirms that this is in reference to the resurrection of Christ.

Psalm 22:1

My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? why are You so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

This was one of the cries made by the Lord Jesus while He was on the cross. {see Matthew 27:46}

Psalm 22:7-8

7 All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,
8 He trusted on the LORD that He would deliver him: let Him deliver him, seeing he delighted in Him.

The Lord Jesus was reproached while on the cross. This is documented in Mark 15:29-31

Psalm 22:16-18

16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

This passage speaks of the manner in which He was crucified, the brutal scourging, and what became of his clothing. {see Matthew 27:26-35}

Psalm 31:5

5 Into your hand I commit my spirit: You have redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

This verse contains the last words spoken by the Lord Jesus before He died on the cross. {see Luke 23:46}

Psalm 34:20

20 He keeps all his bones: not one of them is broken.

Here it is indicated that no bone of the Lord Jesus will be broken when He is offered as the sacrificial Lamb of God. See John 19:33

Psalm 35:11

11 False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.

This prophecy was fulfilled when the chief priets sought for witnesses against the Lord Jesus. {see Mark 14:55-63}

Psalm 35:19

19 Let not them that are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.

Jesus was hated and crucified without a cause. {see John 15:25, “But this comes to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated Me without a cause.}

Psalm 38:13

13 But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that opens not his mouth.

When accused, the Lord Jesus refused to defend Himself.
